Love them from afar
We see a frame and make the movie
Thoughts
*
We only ever see a frame of someone’s life, never the full movie.
So don’t form a story based on a singular instance.
**
Give everyone the benefit of the doubt, just as you’d expect they would with you.
Give everyone excuses.
***
Everyone has reasons for what they do.
They might not tell you, you might not understand them, and it might hurt and not make sense.
But trust that they’re going through something and love them from afar.
Insights
MrBeast on a person’s perception and success:
“You’re crazy until you’re successful, then you’re a genius.”
Wayne Dyer on judgement:
“When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.”
Charles Augustin on living your life fully:
“There are people whose clocks stop at a certain point in their lives.”
Reflection of the week
We spend so much of our lives performing for invisible audiences.
Even when no one is actually there, we imagine the comments, the raised eyebrows, the silent judgments.
And slowly, without noticing, we edit ourselves down to a safer version.
But that keeps us from being all that we’re meant to be—and more.
Reflection for this week
What would I start doing today if no one was watching and no one could judge me?
Write the first answer that comes to mind.
A good read
I’m a big Adam Grant fan. One of his good reads is Give and Take. In this read, Adam talks about the difference of givers and takers and how giving more paves the way for better chances of success in the mid-long term.
One analogy I loved from his book was the number of recommendations given vs. received on LinkedIn—he provided an example of some of the best connectors in business and how there’s a pattern of an exceedingly higher ratio of given recommendations vs. received on their profiles.
Give it a read and maybe that’ll prompt you to jump on LinkedIn and give a few recommendations to people you worked with previously—I know I did.

How can I help?
I also happen to coach people. I learned from one of the world’s best, Robert Ellis.
Would you like to have a coaching conversation? Sometimes all it takes is a 30-minute deep conversation to point you in the right direction. Or give you a little nudge. Maybe you just need someone to hear you out. I’m here for you.
